Sugawara Laboratories Inc, Japan, has developed and refined proprietary mechatronic technologies for high-precision measurement of rotation and motion. In Japan, Sugawara products serve as mother tools for the creation and development of world-class products and cutting-edge technologies.
BEARING INSPECTION SYSTEMS
Anderon Meters are used to inspect ball bearings, while Wavimeters are used to inspect the finish of bearing parts. Previously used exclusively by bearing manufacturers, these devices are increasingly being brought in-house by those who use bearings, such as motor manufacturers, as the significance of bearing quality control gains wider recognition. Sugawara's Bearing Inspection Systems help reduce the operating noise of home appliances such as air conditioners as well as noise in automobiles. An Anderon Meter can be used to inspect delivered bearing products as well as to determine requisite bearing quality. By developing a high-performance spindle with minimal runout, Sugawara recently commercialized a revolutionary Anderon Meter capable of measuring to an accuracy within 0.1 Anderon. This enables high-accuracy measurements for quieter bearings.
Anderon Meter
|
This device inspects the quality of completed bearings. While rotating the inner ring at a constant speed, the equipment measures the radial vibration of the stationary outer ring using a Contact Velocity Sensor. The detection signal is then analyzed and the bearing performance is evaluated. This product can be used to determine acceptability of ball bearings, and also to detect defective bearings including bearings contaminated by dust. |

Automatic Anderon meter Twin-spindle type
|
The Sugawara Automatic Anderon Meter (andero meter) is a high-speed automatic measuring machine that offers the same performance and precision as our acclaimed high-performance manual Anderon meter. By measuring the front and back sides of a bearing, this device ensures reliable quality inspection and also allows for a short tact time – just 1.5 seconds from intake to discharge of a workpiece.> |
|
Torque Sensing Pusher
This equipment inspects the quality of completed bearings. Rotating the inner ring at constant speed, the equipment measures the reactive torque of the stationary outer ring in the rotating direction using a Torque Sensing Pusher (pusher-type torque sensor). The detected torque is displayed digitally in real-time, allowing prompt rejection of bearings with defective torque values.

Ball Wavimeter
|
Sugawara's Ball Wavimeter (wavometer) measures surface waviness and roundness of the spheres used in ball bearings with high precision and with the speed required for practical application. The sensor detects the speed of vibration of a rotating ball under inspection and provides data on waviness (vibration per angular speed) and data on roundness by canceling out the spindle vibration component. |

|
Race Wavimeter
| Sugawara's Race Wavimeter (wavometer) measures waviness and roundness of the race surface of inner and outer rings used in ball bearings with high precision and with the speed required for practical application. The sensor detects the speed of vibration of a rotating inner or outer ring under inspection and provides data on waviness (vibration per angular speed) and data on roundness by canceling out the spindle vibration component. |

Micro mass measuring instrument
|
Sugawara's Micro mass measuring instrument allows a measurement of mass for micro work pieces. Using a regularly changing frequency of vibration, the system searches for sympathetic vibration. Since sympathetic vibration varies according to the mass of the work piece, the instrument allows for a measurement of micro mass on a work piece |
